Practice your core. 

This book is designed for people who want to make the most of their training time. 

It is meant to be used as a daily practice for your core and upper body. 

If you are not a fan of using your training to do cardio-like movements (such as push-ups), then you can always skip the workout and instead focus on improving your core strength. 

When you get a chance to go for a walk or jog, try doing some dumbbell push-downs or deadlifts. 

As you become more experienced, this will become your routine. 

You will learn how to do push-up variations in the gym, deadlift variations in your house, and how to use your core to get bigger and stronger. 


Don’t underestimate your diet. 

I like to think of the sport of weightlifting as the best way to learn how a person actually works. 

A lot of people start out trying to do the “easy” lifts, and then learn to push themselves. 

Instead, focus on the “hard” lifts and the most challenging ones. 

Try to train every day with your “core strength” in mind. 

“Your body needs to be able to use it’s muscles for maximum power and endurance. 

So if you can get your core stronger by working out at a good weight, you will be able do the hardest lifts.” 


Train on your feet. 

One of the key elements to improving your strength and conditioning is getting your feet as good as they can be. 

These are the same muscles that will be the ones that are used for squats, deadlows, and bench presses. 

Get your feet moving, and if you need a little help, try some of these great exercise videos that have been created by fitness and strength coach John Zahn. 


Use the barbell. 

Even though it is not technically a lifting movement, the bar is a very powerful tool in the right hands. 

Every workout should start with an overhead squat. 

For beginners, start with a bench press. 

After you have built up a good base of strength, start working your way up. 

Then, you can add in a single-leg squat, or just drop the bar. 

Just remember that you can only work the bar up to a point if you are using a barbell and have the ability to squat.5. 

Pick up a few sets of dumbbells. 

While it is technically a strength-building exercise, it is best to focus on a very low weight. 

Set the bar so that your feet can hang on the bar and your shoulders are locked down. 

Focus on your core, and make sure that you are making enough contact with the bar to be explosive. 


Do not skip out on cardio. 

Carbohydrates are great for building muscle and improving your cardiovascular health. 

However, if you plan on doing cardio, you must ensure that you do not skip workouts that are primarily cardio-type movements. 

Your body has to be working hard to get stronger and your heart has to pump blood to your muscles. 

During your workouts, focus exclusively on cardio to improve your cardio-related ability. 


Start with lower reps. 

There is nothing worse than skipping workouts that focus on higher reps.

 If your goal is to build muscle and improve your cardiovascular fitness, then you should focus on building muscle first. 


Go heavier. 

Many people choose to train with their feet, but the bottom line is that you must be willing to push yourself to do so. 

And if you skip workouts, you won’t be able or willing to progress at your own pace. 


Make sure that your food is balanced.
