How to make an ethical campaign finance disclosure in 2018
“I was told to not speak to journalists,” Trump tweeted on Tuesday.
“But I will speak to the press and report back.”
The President has been under intense scrutiny since his inauguration for his campaign’s alleged ties to Russia.
While there has been little public information to support those claims, there is a growing body of evidence to show Trump and his associates colluded with Moscow to interfere in the 2016 election.
In recent weeks, however, the President has taken to using Twitter to make false claims.
On Tuesday, the White House announced that the President’s campaign was hiring a lawyer who has worked for the Democratic National Committee.
“I am asking for your support and help to hire a lawyer to represent me in this case,” Trump wrote in a tweet.
“Please do not hesitate to reach out to me directly and make this appointment.
We need your help.”
