Hillary Clinton: ‘We are going to get to the bottom of’ Trump tweet
Hillary Clinton said Tuesday that President Donald Trump’s recent tweet about her emails and her role in the FBI investigation was “totally out of line” and “unacceptable.”
“We are not going to accept it.
We are going not to accept this kind of behavior.
I think it’s outrageous.
It’s completely out of order,” Clinton told MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.””
I think he’s trying to bully the FBI, and we’re going to make sure that we hold him accountable for that,” she said.
Asked if she was worried that the president was trying to intimidate her, Clinton responded, “Yes, I am.”
She also noted that the tweet from Trump was “completely out of character” and that the FBI had been working “on a lot of cases for years.”
“The FBI has been very active in our campaign,” she continued.
“We know that they are working hard.
We have no doubt about that.
And we have a lot to do.
We’ll get to them.
I am committed to getting to the truth, to finding out what happened and to holding the president accountable for what he did.”
The former secretary of state also addressed Trump’s attacks on the former first lady and former first family members, including her husband, former President Bill Clinton.
“The president’s attacks, and the attack on our family members are absolutely unacceptable and hurtful,” she added.
